Research Group on Advanced RF Technologies
Welcome to our site!
The Research Group on Advanced RF Technologies, headquartered at UQO in Gatineau and headed by Prof. Halim Boutayeb, is located less than 30 minutes from the largest technology park in Canada (Kanata) where 90% of research in telecommunications in Canada is pursued with more than 20,000 employees. Gatineau is part of Canada’s National Capital Region. It is located on the northern bank of the Ottawa River, immediately across from Ottawa. Our research group is composed of a dynamic team of highly qualified researchers developing advanced electromagnetic theories, techniques, components and systems.
Research into technologies that exploit electromagnetic fields within the frequency spectrum 300MHz-100GHz impacts many strategic sectors (aerospace, aeronautic, agriculture, astronomy, biomedical, environment, security, telecommunications, transport, etc.). Our research group explore and develop new antenna technologies, numerical techniques, innovative materials, new circuits, and new wireless hardware architectures for future communication systems, radar systems, and electromagnetic energy harvesting systems.
